Vaginal pH Test Strips

  • Test your pH before and during treatment so you know it's working.
  • Healthy vaginal pH is 4.5. Menopausal pH is 6-7. Let's change that and get a healthy vagina! It will take 6-12 weeks to get into this range once you start using vaginal creams and hormone replacement.
  • Detect infections and issues early by continually monitoring pH.
  • Rapid and accurate results in just 30 seconds.
  • Insert a cotton swab (not included) into the vagina to moisten it. It is then applied onto the pH test pad on the test strip.
  • A pH number is determined by comparing the color of the pH test pad to the color chart.
  • A normal vaginal pH is 4.5.
  • An elevated vaginal pH in the 5.0 to 6.5 range suggests a diagnosis of either bacterial pathogens or decreased serum estradiol. In the absence of bacterial pathogens, in symptomatic peri and menopausal women, a vaginal pH of 6.0 to 7.5 is strongly suggestive of menopause.
  • As you continue treatment with vaginal cream and systemic hormone replacement medications such as the patch/pill/low dose birth control, you vaginal pH should begin to change until it reaches 4.5. You can track your progress by tracking your pH.
  • For use with vaginal fluid only.

Progesterone Oral Pills

  • For women still having periods even if irregular.
  • Helpful for perimenopausal symptoms including insomnia, low sex drive, painful breasts, PMS, heavy bleeding during periods or very light, depression, mood swings, anxiety, irritability, acne.

  • Avoid the eyelids and around mouth and nose.
  • Wear sunscreen.
  • Refrain from using skin products containing benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, salicylic acid, or sulfur.
  • Start with applications every other night for the first 2-4 weeks, then increase to nightly as tolerated by your skin.
  • Avoid use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
  • Expect possible redness, mild burning, dryness, peeling, and sun sensitivity initially, which should lessen as the skin adjusts.
  • Use sunscreen with SPF 30+ every morning to protect against increased sun sensitivity.

Estradiol Vaginal for Face

  • Yes! You can use your vaginal cream on your face to get the same benefits as estriol compounded cream at a reduced cost. This is considered off label use.
  • Collagen Stimulation: Estradiol increases collagen production, enhancing skin structure and reducing wrinkles.
  • Skin Hydration: It helps to boost skin moisture retention, making skin plump and smooth, lessening wrinkle appearance.
  • Skin Thickness: Estradiol helps thicken skin, providing better support and potentially lessening wrinkle depth.

  • Morning Routine: Apply a Pea size amount to face and neck. Always finish with SPF. You can mix it with your other creams/skin care products.
  • Night time Routine: Apply a pea size amount to face and neck before bed. We highly recommend mixing with tretinoin cream. Can also be applied to back of hands.
  • Contains estradiol, a natural form of estrogen.
  • Suitable for All Skin Types: Including sensitive skin.

  • Both contain estrogen which has shown to be beneficial in reducing wrinkles and improving fine lines. Research does not show a "more effective" type of estrogen. They both work equally as well.
  • Compounded estriol cream contains other skin healthy ingredients like vitamin c, hyaluronic acid that are not in the vaginal cream. The active ingredient in both products is estrogen.

Adapalene Benz. Peroxide

  • Acne Reduction: Effectively clears existing acne and prevents new breakouts by targeting both the surface bacteria and deeper skin layers.
  • Decreased Inflammation: Benzoyl peroxide has antibacterial properties, while adapalene reduces inflammation, helping to calm red and swollen acne.
  • Prevents Clogged Pores: Adapalene promotes cell turnover, preventing pores from becoming clogged, while benzoyl peroxide helps clear them out.
  • Enhanced Effectiveness: The combination is often more effective than either ingredient alone in treating moderate to severe acne.
  • Preparation: Cleanse the skin gently and pat dry before application.
    Amount: Use a pea-sized amount for the entire face, spreading it evenly over the skin.
    Frequency: Typically applied once daily in the evening.
    Sun Protection: Both adapalene and benzoyl peroxide can make the skin more sensitive to the sun. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and wear protective clothing.

  • This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, wind, and cold weather. Use a sunscreen when you are outdoors.
    Avoid sunlamps and tanning beds. You may need to wear protective clothing, such as a hat.

    Skin reactions such as dryness, redness, scaling, burning, or stinging can occur when you use this medicine.
    Use a moisturizer as needed to lessen these skin problems. Do not use any other medicines on the treated skin areas without asking your doctor.

    Avoid using any skin care products that can dry or irritate your skin. These include rough skin cleansers, hair removal products, soaps or cosmetics that cause dryness, or products that contain alcohol, astringents, spices, or lime. Do not use "waxing" as a hair removal method on skin areas treated with this medicine. Allow this medicine to dry completely before getting dressed. This medicine may cause bleaching of clothes or hair.

Clindamycin Gel 1%

  • Used in to treat mild to moderate acne.
  • Clindamycin is an antibiotic which works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
  • Well tolerated and shows results in 2 to 6 weeks of use, with maximal benefit up to 12 weeks.
  • Clean and dry your face. Apply a thin layer to affected area.
  • Inform your provider of any allergies to clindamycin, lincomycin, or other substances before starting this treatment
  • Side effects may include dry skin, itching, burning, and sun sensitivity. See package insert for full details.

Azelaic Acid

  • Helps to neutralize free radicals generated by UV exposure.
  • Suitable for long-term use:.
  • Sun exposure can induce inflammation in the skin, contributing to the development and darkening of sun spots. Azelaic acid's anti-inflammatory effects help to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation, which can prevent the worsening of sun spots.
  • Azelaic acid is generally well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin.
  • Preparation: Cleanse the skin gently and pat dry before application.
    Amount: Use a pea-sized amount for the entire face, spreading it evenly over the skin.

Oral Minoxidil

  • Minoxidil should be taken at the same time each day to maintain stable serum levels.
  • Dosage is started at 1/4 of a tablet and titrated up slowly. You will need a pill cutter.
  • It can cause blood pressure to decrease slightly. We advise obtaining a home BP monitor.
  • Understand the need to continue therapy for at least 6 months to a year to assess full benefits and that discontinuing the medication may lead to a reversal of gains.
  • The initial shedding of hair when starting oral minoxidil is a common phenomenon and is generally a sign that the medication is beginning to work. The shedding usually occurs early in treatment, often within the first 2 to 8 weeks.
  • Potential Side Effects:

    Hypertrichosis: Unwanted hair growth on the face and body.
    Hypotension: Lowering of blood pressure.
    Tachycardia: Increased heart rate.

  • Regular use of ketoconazole shampoo may enhance hair density and follicle size, likely owing to its anti-inflammatory and anti-androgenic properties that foster a healthier hair growth environment.
  • Ketoconazole shampoo treats scalp fungal infections, preventing them from causing hair loss by protecting the scalp and hair follicles from damage.
  • Use 2x per week
  • Wet Your Hair: Soak hair with warm water to open cuticles and pores for effective shampoo penetration.
